As a key component of the overall 15.5 acre Norwalk Park, the 2.5 acre Aquatic Pavilion is composed of a 4100 sf aquatics building reflecting an agricultural character, a 25 yd. 7 lane instruction pool, water slide, wading pool, expansive picnic areas, and a parking lot with drop off area.

The renovation of the existing Norwalk public pool began with the demolition of the existing pool and support buildings. The leftover rubble from the pool, pool deck and parking lot was crushed and reused as a base for the new expanded parking lot. The parking lot included a much used dropoff area.

The new pool area includes a new administration office, lockers, restrooms, and pool equipment housing. The pool is 8 lanes and includes a dive area as well as a separate wading pool. There is also a large shade structure and several lower grass areas adjacent to the pool deck for family gatherings.
