Crawford Canyon Park
Tustin, CA
Parks, Open Space
Crawford Canyon Park is a 2.5-acre neighborhood park located in North Tustin. The park is a joint project between OC Public Works and OC Parks, embraces a “Back to Nature” concept, blending natural materials with sustainable design. The park features nature-themed playgrounds for ages 2-5 and 5-12, including natural wood play equipment, climbing elements, embankment slides, and sand play areas. Other amenities include a quarter-mile walking path, wood fitness stations, picnic tables along a DG walkway, and a large “Great Lawn” for open recreation. Landscaping will focus on California native, low-water-use plants, bio-retention basins, vegetated swales, and repurposed natural boulders.
The park enhances accessibility with a sidewalk extension along Crawford Canyon Road, a connection to Newport Avenue, and improved infrastructure such as a parking lot with 11 spaces, a roundabout, pedestrian lighting, and fencing. Additional features include a deceleration lane, DG maintenance road, drinking fountain, and wood site furnishings, creating a welcoming and sustainable community space for recreation and relaxation.
