Building on the success of Pinehurst Park, RJM Design Group was invited by the City of Chino Hills in 2024 to expand the park’s amenities with an exciting new Splash Zone. Spanning 161,000 square feet, this dynamic addition will feature a state-of-the-art community center, two building patios, a 1,400-square-foot splash pad soak zone, and a 2,300-square-foot water exploration play area. The project also includes a formal parking lot with lighting and wayfinding signage, as well as an overflow parking area to enhance accessibility.

Originally designed by RJM Design Group in 2017, the 14-acre Pinehurst Park already boasts large turf areas, a playground, a full-court basketball court, and scenic walking paths. The new Splash Zone will further enrich this beloved community space, providing an interactive and refreshing experience for residents of all ages. With a variety of water play elements designed to engage both children and adults, the space will offer a perfect retreat on warm days. Families can gather, cool off, and enjoy the thoughtfully designed features that promote active play and social interaction. As a vibrant addition to Pinehurst Park, the Splash Zone will enhance the park’s role as a central hub for recreation, relaxation, and community connection.
