Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Urban Design

The Rancho Cucamonga Metrolink Station is the largest of the Metrolink transit stations. With two platforms serving two tracks, the station accommodates an average ridership of 1,100 users per day and ranks 8th among the top ten stations in weekly ridership.

In an effort to reduce fuel consumption and promote public public transportation, the station provides 960 parking stalls for passenger vehicles, a Metrolink bus transfer station, bike lockers, and an electric vehicle (EV) charging station. The unique design of the drop-off area provides a clear separation between vehicular and bus traffic. An enhanced pedestrian plaza serves to gather users and allow for safe ingress/egress without having to contend with passenger or bus traffic.
