Design for this 18 acre park includes program development, preparation of alternative conceptual diagrams, preliminary plans and preparation of construction drawings. The design process involved workshops that included a 16 member project committee to establish the park program, review design alternatives, and approve the final design drawings.
The final design incorporates a 25,000 SF recreation center, a 25 yard by 25 meter competition pool with recreational capabilities, a 1,000 seat amphitheatre, picnic areas, open play area, and local trail connections to the regional park. The community center includes a gymnasium, multi-purpose room, offices for staff members, teen room, and seperate men’s and women’s locker rooms.
