Utilizing the community outreach results and recommendations of the George Izay Park Master Plan project, the second phase of the project focuses on the architectural, programming analysis, and design of the new Olive Recreation Center and the Burbank Performing Arts Center (formerly the Burbank Little Theater).

Project initiation began with performing a site specific topographic survey to understand existing site conditions, opportunities, and constraints to aid in the development of the new plaza, breezeway, and building designs. Preliminary floorplans and elevations were developed based on community and stakeholder input. 3D renderings and a fly through video model were developed to illustrate design intent and the proposed improvements within the surrounding park environment. The next phase of the project will focus on schematic design and design development to further develop the site improvements.
