Indian Wells Tennis Garden

The Indian Wells Tennis Garden, home of the BNP Paribas Open was completed in 2014. The new facilities included a new stadium seating over 8,000 spectators, and a new main entrance off of Washington Street, which established a “Front Door” to the complex.

Felipe Tennis Center Renovation

The City’s primary objective in the renovation of the Felipe Recreation Center was to create a new gathering space for events and activities while replacing the undersized offices and restroom facilities.

Encinitas Skate Park

As part of the larger Encinitas Community Park, the City opened its new 33,000 sq. ft. Skate Park facility to the public on January 10, 2015.

Don Knabe Golf Center & Junior Academy

The Don Knabe Golf Center & Junior Academy features a 9-hole par 3 golf course, double deck driving range, practice pitching green with a bunker, practice putting green, clubhouse with community room.

College Park Community Park and Big League Dream Softball Complex

The park facilities are comprised of five lighted Big League Dreams softball fields, five lighted soccer fields, three lighted basketball courts, two lighted sand volleyball courts, play areas, dog park, picnic facilities, trail system, and associated parking and maintenance areas to support the facility.

Chino Hills Community Park

Encompassing a 33 acre site, the Chino Hills Community Park is designed for multi-use sports fields. Utilizing synthetic turf play surfacing and lights for night games, the fields accommodate youth baseball, adult softball, and soccer games.

Worthy Park Renovation

In 2014, RJM Design Group completed a preliminary study of the existing conditions and the possible improvements to park amenities that could be made to update the existing Worthy Park site. Given the park’s proximity to City Hall and the adjacent Huntington Beach High School, the site was very visible and showing signs of age.

The Park at River Walk

Out of the need to create a water recharge area and supplement the existing water table, a 32-acre parcel of land adjacent to the Kern River has been transformed into a beautiful passive park.

Sergeant Matt Davis Park

Sergeant Matt Davis Park is a five-acre neighborhood park located in Southwest Mission Viejo. The park borders the expansive O’Neill Regional Park to the Northeast.

Sea Terrace Park

This is a passive park, with a mile of meandering walkways, located on Pacific Coast Highway adjacent to the Saint Regis Hotel/Monarch Beach Resort and across the street from the Ritz Carlton and popular Salt Creek Beach.

Pinehurst Park

The City of Chino Hills worked hand-in-hand with AvalonBay Communities to develop a neighborhood park that serviced the new condominium complex being constructed as well as the adjacent single family neighborhoods that surrounded the area.

Pavion Park Playground

Pavion Park Playground is about universal play, and providing fun activities and equal access for all, including children and caregivers of all ages and abilities. The City of Mission Viejo contracted RJM to update its old playground with an emphasis on Universal design.

Pacific Electric Park

Pacific Electric is a small urban park that runs adjacent to the Pacific Electric bike trail in Santa Ana. A portion of the project was funded using Federal Trail Enhancement resources, while support from a non-profit group known as Orange County On Track helped to include dynamic exercise equipment within the facilities of the park.

Lynwood Meadows Park

Lynwood Meadows Park is a popular 2.5-acre neighborhood park situated between an established residential community and an industrial use property. Through a community participation design workshop process, this once vacant parcel of land was transformed into a vibrant, environmentally conscious park with flowering expanses of drought tolerant plants, picturesque walkways bordered by ornamental roses, and a meandering boulder/river rock streambed.

Los Amigos Park

This 3.5 acre parcel located in the dense residential area of Rancho Cucamonga was ripe to supply the community with some green space. Using State Park Development and Community Revitalization Grants, the City was able to finance the project without limiting park amenities.

Foxfield Park

Foxfield Park has a walking garden with a European flair. This walking garden actually consist of several different gardens; a rose garden, a herb garden, a thyme garden complete with sundial, and a “Community Garden” which was turned over to the local residents.

Florence Joyner Olympiad Park

Florence Joyner Olympiad Park is a 22-acre park dedicated to Florence Griffith Joyner, the Olympic Gold Medalist who made her home in Mission Viejo, California.

In the newly developed area of the Vineyard Point, a few miles outside downtown Sacramento, this park is a welcomed green space that will serve the public with a host of active amenities.

Cordova Park

The Cordova Park renovation encompassed the complete overhaul of the existing play area, as well as the addition of improvements to the trail system through the neighboring greenbelt. Outdated play equipment and safety surfacing was replaced with the latest in modern play features and rubber surfacing, dubbing the new play area as “The Hive.” Littered with thematic play elements, interpretive educational signage, color schemes, and even sculptural elements, park visitors engage not only physically but intellectually as well. Hexagonal-shaped conversational seating areas dot the play area like a honeycomb, including parents into the acts of play versus on the fringes of it. Wooden split-rail fences keep children safe and corralled in the play area and away from surrounding residential streets and instead down the asphalt trails away from traffic. The trails were all re-surfaced and finished with pedestrian lighting to keep the greenbelt safe and visible for residents.
